On July 11, Japanese cuisine took center stage at another workshop held as part of the charitable project “Oleina for Children. Cooking with Love,” implemented by Oleina in partnership with the Children of Heroes Charity Foundation.
Under the guidance of Cookery School Chef Andriy, the participants learned how to prepare perfect sushi rice, shape nigiri, work with nori, and master the technique of rolling sushi. The workshop offered much more than the opportunity to recreate favorite Japanese dishes – it also helped the children discover how precision, attention to detail, and practice are essential ingredients of every great chef’s success.
Who knows? Perhaps this workshop marked the very first step toward a future culinary career for one of the young participants. After all, every great chef’s journey begins with a first dish prepared by hand.
The workshop menu featured salmon nigiri, California rolls with snow crab, Philadelphia rolls, and a refreshing Cherry Cuba Libre lemonade.
